Welcome to the City of Maryville

Picture

The City of Maryville has a rich and interesting history and has seen much growth since it was established in 1795. Our population is now approximately 27,000 people.  It is our goal to enhance the quality of life for those who live here and to be hospitable to those who pass through our town.  The City has approximately 325 employees and every one of them has a passion for public service, for doing more than is expected of them, and for treating all our customers in a kind, courteous, and fair manner.

We have designed our website as a place for both residents and visitors. It contains a wealth of information as we continue to follow our City Council's priority to make our city government open, accessible and responsible.  This website is one step towards that goal.

In the past year, we have added a number of new features to make life easier for our citizens.  Maryville now takes online utility payments and property tax payments.  In addition, it's also possible to look up current and prior utility payments and account history in the updated customer service area.

Even in these times of economic challenges, Maryville has been working hard to meet the challenges that lie ahead without compromising our services to our community.  It's more important than ever for our residents shop and dine in here in our own hometown to keep revenues coming into our community.

We are proud to be home to an outstanding school system, great parks for families to enjoy together, and a Greenway Trail for those who like to walk, run, and bike.  Our downtown area has seen growth with its shops and restaurants and a new monthly event, the Last Friday Art Walk.  We invite you to our annual Foothills Fall Festival October 12 - 14, 2012 for three days of world class fun.

In closing, serving you, our residents is a great honor.   The City Council, myself, and our employees vow to do our best everyday to make this a great place for you to live, work, and play.
