The Maryville Codes Enforcement Division is a part of the Development Services Department and is responsible for the administration and enforcement of regulations that governs the occupancy use and sound construction of new and existing buildings. Compliance is accomplished by using standards and codes that are checked through review meetings with designers, issuing of permits, conducting inspections, and coordinating enforcement efforts with other City departments. The Codes Division currently maintains a 3.0 Insurance Service Offices, Inc. rating which helps to lower insurance rates for residents, business, and industry.
The Division is dedicated to quality and applies the standards for utilities and facilities so that all Maryville structures are safe, sanitary, and fit for occupancy, as well as suitable for those with physical impairments. |
