Public Safety / Education
Through education and awareness the Public Safety and Education division's goal is to reduce unintentional injuries and loss of life and property. We do this by offering several classes and programs that are available to the citizens of Maryville.

- Life Safety House ( with Alcoa Fire)
- Exit Drills In The Home (EDITH)
- Daycare visits
- Firefighters are your friends program
- Blood Pressure checks in the mall
- Fire Extinguisher training
- College RA training
- Senior Citizen Safety Program including burn and fall prevention; Remembering When Program
- Special Events- Special Olympics, Empty Pantry and United Way
- Fire Prevention Month Program - smoke alarm signups and fire prevention programs
