General Information
Since its inception in 1915, the Maryville Fire Department has been constantly evolving to meet the needs of the City of Maryville's diverse population and continuous growth. The City is approximately 16.77 miles and our population is now more than 27,000 people.
The most visible evidence of our growth is our new Station One facility, located on West Broadway Avenue in downtown Maryville. The facility has enhanced the delivery of services by reducing our response time to emergencies.
It is the mission of the Maryville Fire Department to meet the needs of the citizens of Maryville by serving, protecting, and responding to emergencies with the most highly trained professionals and state-of-the-art equipment. Currently, we employ 36 full time firefighters and 15 reserve firefighters.
In addition to fire education, our department strives to protect citizens and their property from the dangers of fire, provide aid in medical emergencies, and assist in the clean up any chemical or hazardous waste spills. We pride ourselves in both efficient and timely response with an ISO rating of 3. This rating helps to secure lower fire insurance premiums for our community and establishes a standard for the best in public protection.
The Maryville Fire Department is an organization that values the past, envisions present possibilities and embraces the challenges of the future. We will continue whole-heartedly in our efforts of public safety to make Maryville a great place to live.
