October 18- As part of the ongoing sewer rehab project in the area, contractors will close Cherokee St. at U.S. Route 321 on Monday, October 24. The detour will be around Crest Road and Wilcox St. The work is expected to take two weeks. For more information, contact the City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department at 865-273-3300.
October 5- A section of College Street between Church Avenue and Ellis Avenue will be closed on Thursday, October 6 from noon to midnight.
September 30- Our Stormwater Department will be closing McCammon Avenue just east of Atlantic Avenue from October 10-12 during the hours of 7:30AM-3:30PM. The closure is necessary to replace a stormwater culvert. Residents along Pacific Avenue, Gulf Circle and Atlantic Avenue will need to use Bessemer Street to access their neighborhood. A signed detour route will be in place during the closure.
September 30- The city of Maryville Water and Sewer department will have Cherokee St. closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, October 3. The closure is required for sewer line replacement. For more information, please call 865-273-3300.
September 30- Our Streets Department will be patching the utility cut on W Broadway at Cates Street beginning Monday-Tuesday (October 3-4th) This work will require intermittent lane closures and a short term detour for EB Broadway Ave. The work will begin at 8:30AM and stop by 3:30PM each day.
September 26- The city of Maryville Water and Sewer Department announced the sewer rehab work in progress on Hwy 321 E (East Lamar Alexander Pkwy) is expected to be complete within six weeks. Crews will have the right westbound lane of 321 closed during this time. The area affected is near Cherokee Street. For more information, please call 273-3300
September 26- The City of Maryville will begin loose leaf collection on Monday, October 17th with the Red Zone. Leaves can be raked to curbside but not out in the street to avoid clogging storm drains. For more information, call 273-3302.
