Frequently Asked Questions

As we receive questions about the project, we'll add them here.

STAKES AND FLAGS
With work beginning along the entire length of the project corridor, surveyors have been recently marking key features on the ground along Carpenters Grade Road and adjacent side streets. Stakes have been placed showing property lines, drainage easements, cut & fill slope limits, and driveway locations. Utility owners have also placed colored flags showing the field locations of underground utilities such as water, gas, phone, and fiber. The City of Maryville Engineering & Public Works Department requests that property owners please leave these stakes and flags in place, especially when mowing or weed eating in their yards. Contractors will be relying on the important information that these stakes and flags represent both as the project begins as well as throughout the remainder of the construction process.

WHY IS THE RELOCATED SECTION OF COCHRAN ROAD SO ROUGH?
When the project is complete, relocated Cochran Road will be smooth. Final paving will take place towards the end of the project.
