The City of Maryville Electric Department will close W. Church Ave. from Cates St. to S. Cusick St. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. while they work on a transformer. Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.

Harper to Forest Ave. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 8 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. Crews will be working on storm drains. There will also be a temporary traffic signals along E. Broadway from Singleton St. to Cumberland St. during this time.

The Maryville Tree Board has given final approval for the city to remove dead and dying trees along the Greenway Trail between the last bridge, near Pearson Springs Soccer Fields, and Montgomery Lane (see the map provided). After the removal of the dead trees, a single row of 8 – 9 ft. tall Green Giant Arborvitae trees will be planted in their place.
This project is set to begin Friday, February 14th, 2025. Crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for several weeks until the work is complete. It is recommended that trail users avoid the area and seek a different route during the removal phase of this project. Those who choose to use the trail during this time will be directed to an alternate path in the grass. The alternate path will not be paved or covered with gravel making it somewhat more difficult to navigate. The contractor will re-open the trail each evening after they have finished their work for the day. During the replanting phase, every effort will be made to keep the trail open whenever the safety of the public is not an issue. The City of Maryville Municipal Center Offices, the Operation Center, and Recycling Centers will all close in observance of Presidents Day on Monday, February 17, 2025. All offices and the Recycling Centers will re-open on Tuesday, February 18. There will be no change in the residential trash pick-up schedule.

The work, if approved, will require the closure of the trail between the last bridge, near Pearson Springs Soccer Fields and Montgomery Lane (see the map provided). Those who chose to use the trail during this time should keep in mind the alternate path will not be paved or covered with gravel making it somewhat more difficult to navigate.
