The City of Maryville Fire Department is placing a temporary burn ban that will be lifted once conditions are deemed safe. The ban prohibits open fires such as brush burning and recreational fires. This effort from our citizens, visitors, and neighbors will keep our community safe during the dangerous dry conditions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Maryville Fire at 865-273-3601. Once the ban has been lifted it will be communicated. The City of Maryville Public Works department will begin its final loose-leaf collection for the fall season on Monday, March 17th in the red zone. Residents should have leaves at the curb by Sunday, March 16. Vacuum trucks will make a single pass through neighborhoods, and there will be no additional collections scheduled until October 2025.
Residents are asked to place their leaves in the front yard, not in a ditch or drainage system, which could clog your storm drain. Also be sure to keep leaves separate from bulk and brush. For more information call the Engineering and Public Works Department at (865) 273-3302. |
