Engineering and Public Works will close the trail entrance at Amburns' Market on Church Avenue Friday, August 30. They will be painting the walkway hand rails in various locations. At the end of day on Friday, the trail will be reopened, but will be closed again on Monday, September 2 to finish. The work is expected to be complete by the end of day Monday.
The City of Maryville Stormwater Department will have Mountain View Avenue closed to through traffic from Montvale Road to Cunningham Street Thursday, August 29th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crews will be working on a storm drain repair.

The City of Maryville Municipal Center Offices, the Operation Center, and Recycling Centers will all close in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 2, 2024. The City of Maryville will close eastbound Broadway Avenue, between Cates and Cusick streets, Aug. 22-23 to allow construction crews to begin shoring work at 202 West Broadway Ave. The site is the future home of a 98-room hotel in Downtown Maryville. The structure will sit atop a 118-space public parking garage, which will replace the current Sam Houston Lot, neighboring Broadway Towers. Road closure signs will be posted on Broadway Avenue where it intersects with Cusick and Cates streets. Patrons of the businesses along the closure section are encouraged to use the first and second floors of the public parking garage at West Church Street. Parking is also available in the west Harper Street parking garage. If needed, crews may re-close that section of Broadway early next week to complete the work. The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Centennial Church Road from Davis Ford Road to Helton Road on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 8 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. Crews will be working on water tie-ins for the new Sugarland Creek subdivision. The water will need to be shut off until the work is complete. Residents in the area are encouraged to plan for an interruption to their water service.

The City of Maryville developed and implemented a Stormwater Management Program. In accordance with the requirements set forth in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MA4) Permit (TNS000000), the City must provide formal Public Notice for the Stormwater Management Program. Additionally, in compliance with the regulations of the State of Tennessee 2022 MS4 Permit, the City is revising its Grading, Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance and Vegetated Buffer Zone and Stormwater Quality Management Ordinance. The City of Maryville Stormwater Department will be working to replace catch basins at the intersection of High Street and College Street on Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15, 2024. Both streets will be closed for this work from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will reopen after 6 p.m. If needed, the intersection will be closed again at 8 a.m. on Thursday until the work is complete.
