Planned activity for June 27 – July 17
Crews continue to work on utility crossings. Utility poles will be installed beginning at the intersection of Carpenters Grade and Peterson Lane and continue east along Carpenters. This work is dependent on the weather and may continue through Wednesday, July 21st. Curbing around the Marathon entrances is expected to begin July 7.
Road Closure Scheduled to be in place for 3-4 more weeks
Cochran Road remains closed from Raulston Road to approximately 2224 Cochran Road. This closure includes the Marathon gas station parking lot. Drivers cannot use the parking lot as a cut-through. Through traffic should avoid using Cochran Road, however homeowners will have access to their homes. This closure is expected to be in place until approximately July 21, and possibly July 28, depending on the weather.
Large equipment and workers are present throughout the day on Carpenters Grade and on Cochran Road. We ask that all drivers please slow down, use extra caution, and be patient when traveling through the work zone. A little extra care goes a long way in keeping everyone safe. All traffic is expected to observe the blockades on Cochran Road including motorcyclists. Police Officers are present and working to reduce speeding and careless driving.
We appreciate your support while we work to improve your roads.
