Have you ever wanted to experience the life of a firefighter? The city of Maryville Fire Department invites Citizens to be part of the Citizens Fire Academy. The Fire Department appreciates the opportunity to establish a more direct connection with the citizens they serve and for residents to get a behind-the-scenes perspective of the Maryville Fire Department.
This dynamic ten-week class offers live demonstrations, classroom learning, and hands-on, interactive experiences. Students will learn directly from the men and women of the Maryville Fire Department about topics ranging from basic emergency skills to advanced firefighting techniques.

"My wife and I attended the Maryville Citizens Fire Academy and it was an eye-opening experience. Witnessing the training a firefighter goes through on a weekly basis made us feel safer. The hands on training we were able to participate in as part of the class was exhilarating and at times breathtaking." Tim Strickland
