Placement requirements:
  • ​Leaves must be placed at the curb.
  • Please do not rake leaves into the ditch, road or storm drains. 
  • Separate junk, limbs and brush from leaves.  
  • Dead Trees, Tree limbs on right-of-way
  • Shrubs, trees, brush blocking sight distance


To report a City right-of-way sight block issue (trees or bushes block drivers' ability to see oncoming traffic) or to have a fallen, broken or dead limb or tree removed from City right-of-way, call 865-273-3302. The City is not responsible for private driveway sight blocks.

Dead trees in streets will be handled by the Streets Department (call the same number to report).
Dead animals on public areas will be picked up by the Grounds Maintenance team. Call 273-3302 to report the problem.​
*Dead animals can only be picked up from public areas (sidewalks, streets) - not on private property.

The Grounds Maintenance team is responsible for mowing 65 acres of City parks every week from April to October.
Right-of-ways are mowed according to a schedule. For more information, contact Edmond Greene 865-273-3311.
To report any issues with Christmas decorations (other than light poles), contact Edmond Greene, Grounds Superintendent - 273-3311
​Light pole decorations are maintained by the City electric department. Contact 273-3326 to report a problem.

Christmas tree recycling information dates and location will be posted ​ here when available.
The City Memorial Plaque/ Tree Program is a cooperation between City Public Works and Parks and Recreation. The memorial program is dependent on available space. Contact Parks and Recreation to apply - (865) 983-9244 or visit parksrec.com

Facilities Maintenance
  • Report issues with park facilities (restrooms, etc), parking structures, sidewalks, trash in the elevator, etc. to our Engineering and Public Works Department 273-3302. 
  • For mechanical issues with the municipal parking garage elevator, please contact Rodney Ford at (865) 273-3470 - leave any information you have about the issue.
  • ​The Dog Park at Pistol Creek is maintained by Parks and Recreation. Please call (865) 983-9244 to report any issues.

​Parking facilities, Sidewalks, Park restrooms and structures are maintained by City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works, Contracted Maintenance, and Parks and Recreation depending on the facility and the issue.
