Financial Services Department

Welcome to the Financial Services Department. We serve our citizens, businesses, and customers with the following information related to City Government. If there is anything you cannot find, please contact us.​

We offer online utility payments. Typically, payments are credited to your account within 24 hours, but please allow 48 hours before due date to help ensure your payment is posted on time. 

Welcome to our Online Payment System

Please note: If your account is in disconnect status, payments will not be accepted through the online portal three or less days prior to the date of disconnection. Please contact customer service to make payment arrangements (865) 273-3456
 
Customers have more options for bill payment with our self-service payment portal. The secure portal is provided by Utilitec, the City’s utility billing service. The service will simplify the payment process and provide our customers more opportunities to manage payments through a variety of convenient services.

Some of the features the service offers are:
  • Paperless billing option
  • Full online account management
  • View bills from email option
  • Manage bill notification preferences with SMS (text) or email option
  • Pay bills through SMS (text) or online option
  • Set up an automatic one-time payment on the account option
  • Manage one or multiple accounts through one login
  • Ability to split payments between two payment methods
  • Schedule future-dated one-time payments

All credit/ debit card payments and e-check payments will be assessed a 2.85% transaction fee by third-party vendors whether processed online, by using our automated IVR phone system or at the Municipal Center. This fee goes directly to the third-party vendors for the service and will appear as a separate charge on your statement.

Please be advised that customers may continue to pay by cash or check free of charge at the Maryville Municipal Building or by mail. Check payments may also be deposited in the overnight drop box in front of the Maryville Municipal Building.   Additionally, customers can sign up at the municipal building for automatic bank draft - free of charge - which eliminates the need to remember to pay the bill each month.

We know time is valuable and have worked to offer more convenient options to pay bills. Our various payment options offer our customers flexibility to choose and manage their payments.

What Payment Methods are accepted?

The city of Maryville accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover or electronic funds transfer from your checking or savings account.
 
What is the service fee?
The service fee is a non-refundable charge of 2.85% of the transaction amount. It is collected by a third-party processor to cover the processing costs associated with handling the payment. Two separate transactions will appear on your statement: one transaction for your payment and one transaction for the service fee.
 
How can I pay my Property Taxes?
You may pay your property taxes online using Guest Pay and by phone using the Pay By Phone IVR, call (888) 382-2262.
The My eBilling Account Self Service Portal is to be used for utility bill payments only.

What is the maximum payment amount accepted?
The maximum payment limit is $30,000 for both credit card and eCheck payments. If your amount due exceeds the maximum limit you will need to process multiple payments.

Can I make a same-day payment?
Typically, payments are credited to your account within 24 hours, but please allow 48 hours before due date to help ensure your payment is posted on time.

Why is my account restricted from making a payment? 
If your account is in disconnect status, payments will not be accepted through the online portal or IVR three or less days prior to the date of disconnection. Please contact Customer Service at (865) 273-3456 Monday - Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm with any questions.
