About This Opportunity:
Performs intermediate skilled technical work performing electrical, building, plumbing or mechanical code inspections as assigned of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, enforcing various codes, regulations and the zoning ordinance, reviewing plans, maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Deputy Building Official.

About This Opportunity:

- Inspects residential and commercial buildings under construction, alteration or repair for compliance with codes; inspects existing buildings for code violations and structural deficiencies; patrols and inspects for building additions occurring without permits.
- Issues stop work orders and issues court citations on non-complying projects.
- Review and issues permits, answers technical questions from citizens, professionals, and others regarding code enforcement.
- Reviews building plans and specifications for compliance with codes and other technical requirements; coordinates with other City departments regarding permit approval.
- Coordinates with other City departments regarding permit approval; provides written and verbal communication with professionals.
- Maintains inspection records and results; prepares reports.
- Coordinates with other City departments and inspectors on approval for temporary and regular certificates of occupancy.
- Answers questions; provides information to architects, engineers, and contractors.

About This Opportunity:

- Manage the implementation, development, and maintenance of 4 systems; Water, Sewer, Electric, and Fiber.
- Leading new software implementation;
- Manage the integration between systems and databases (see below), including integrations involving systems and databases (Utility Billing System, etc.) managed by other departments;
- Manage the further development and improvement of software, systems, and databases to make them more efficient and effective in achieving departmental missions;
- Systems and databases include, but are not limited to: Electronic Circuit Modeling, Automated Outage Management, Interactive Voice Management, Meter Data Management, Advanced Meter Infrastructure/ Automated Meter Reading, and Sewer CCTV.
- Manage the implementation, development, and maintenance GIS for all 4 systems;
- Manage GIS Portal items (maps, apps, etc.);
- Manage and publish GIS services in ArcGIS Server Manager;
- Supervise, coordinate, and review GIS editing performed by GIS and non-GIS professionals;
- Supervise employees, delegate tasks, and perform employee evaluations.
- Manages and coordinates special projects;
- Implements and maintains workflows designed in collaboration with departments based on technology;
- Designs, implements, and maintains GIS, departmental, and technology workflows.
- Develops and implements computer codes and scripts to automate processes; Programming and scripting languages include, but are not limited to: Python, ESRI Arcade, and ESRI Attribute Rules.
- Train employees to use operations software and technology, use and edit GIS data, and newly implemented departmental workflows.

Essential Functions:
- Constructs and maintains GIS applications by coordinating and utilizing information from users and with department head andsupervisor authorization.
- Communicates with users to identify various program and project needs; develops database tools and web technologies to develop web-based or mobile solutions; monitors and provides support to solution developed.
- Coordinates with users to analyze and evaluate systems and programming specifications; prepares logic flow charts or decision tables as guides to coding of the program.
- Develops tools to increase operational efficiency for desktop, web, and mobile users.
- Develops run scripts run as scheduled tasks that automate repetitive/complex tasks.
- Performs data analysis on spatial and tabular data to produce reports, maps, etc., as requested by management and user departments; maintains spatial databases.

- Cartographic design and production of maps, visuals, and other information products for print and web-based platforms.
