East Lamar Alexander Parkway (U.S. Highway 321) Traffic Adjustments Moved to February 5
City of Maryville contractor Portland Utilities Construction Company updated its schedule for the project which will reduce East Lamar Alexander Parkway (U.S. Highway 321) to one lane in each direction from the intersection at Washington Street and Jones Avenue to just beyond the Blount Memorial Hospital and Blount County Justice Center entrances. Lanes will be identified with traffic barrels. The work, originally scheduled to begin on Feb. 1 has been moved to Monday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. due to the weather forecast. Normal traffic is expected to resume Wednesday, Feb. 7. There will be access to all locations within this segment of East Lamar Alexander Parkway, but motorists are advised to allow additional time if driving through this area. The work will begin on Thursday, February 1 at 5 p.m. and is planned to end Friday, February 2 at 5 p.m. There will be access to all locations within this segment of U.S. Hwy 321, but motorists are advised to allow additional time if driving through this area.
