 The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department will close Madison Avenue from North 5th Street to North 6th Street today, May 31, for sidewalk and concrete work. The closure will remain in place until approximately 3 p.m.

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Brown School Road from Old Knoxville Pike to Cheltenham Road tomorrow, Wednesday, May 31, from 8 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. Crews will be replacing a sewer line.

The City of Maryville Stormwater Department will close Sherwood Drive from Goldleaf Street to Tapoco Avenue Wednesday, May 31 – Friday, June 2, 2023. Crews will be replacing a stormwater pipe. For more information, contact the Stormwater Department at 865-273-3500.  The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close S. Everett High Road from Morningside Avenue to Kittrell Avenue today, Tuesday, May 30, until approximately 7:30 p.m. Crews will be working on sewer construction.

The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department announced today that work on the intersection of Best Street and Montvale Station Road is underway. Crews are milling the existing asphalt this week. Re-paving will begin on Tuesday, May 30, and will be completed by Friday, June 2. After the work is complete, the intersection will become an all-way stop controlled intersection.
Montvale Station Road and Best Street will not be closed while work is in progress. However, motorists should expect delays due to necessary traffic control in the construction zone. The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Hanna Avenue from Short Street to Elizabeth Street today, Thursday, May 25, until approximately 5 p.m. Crews will be working on a sewer tap.
For more information, contact the Water and Sewer Department at 865-273-3300.  The City of Maryville Engineering Department announced today that a renovation project at Jack Greene Park has begun. Improvements to the park include painting the stage area of the amphitheater and upgrades to the pavilion and the restrooms.
As of Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the restrooms are closed until further notice. During construction, porta-potties are available. The pavilion and stage will also have limited availability through the end of July. The park will remain open to the public. The work is expected to be complete by July 31, 2023. The Sandy Springs Recycling Center located at 715 Best Street will be closed to the public on Friday, May 19. Asphalt crews will be placing the final asphalt paving surface at the recycling center, as well as paving a section of Best Street from Montvale Station Road to Parkside Drive. Traffic on Best Street will be allowed under flagging operations. The recycling center will re-open Saturday, May 20 with regular business hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
