Summer on Broadway Road Closures in the Downtown Area - 2023

Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, the Blount Partnership will be hosting Summer on Broadway in downtown Maryville. To accommodate the event, the city will be closing certain facilities and roads in the area as early as Thursday, June 22.

Closure Schedule Thursday, June 22:
• Founders Square Parking Lot will be closed at 12:01 a.m. 
• Broadway – Cusick to Cates St. will close at 7 p.m. 
• The municipal parking garage (next to Bluetick Tavern) will close at midnight Thursday night 
 
Closure Schedule Friday, June 23:
Municipal Garage Parking Lot (near Bluetick Tavern) will be closed all day
 
Beginning at 10 a.m.
• Broadway between Cates Street and Patton Street 
• Cusick Street between Church Ave. and Harper Ave.
• Court Street between Broadway Ave. and Harper Ave.
• College Street between Broadway and Harper
 
Beginning at 5:30 p.m.
• Cusick St. between Church Ave. and Court Circle 
• Court Cir. From Court Street to Lamar Alexander 

Schedule for Reopening Saturday, June 24 ​:
• Cusick Street, Court Street, College Street and Founders Square Parking will reopen at 5 p.m.
• The Municipal Parking Lot will reopen at 7 p.m.
• W. Broadway Ave from Cates Street to Cusick Street will reopen as soon as possible after street is cleared (approximately 10 p.m.)

To accommodate the event, the city will be closing certain facilities and roads in the area as early as Thursday, June 24.

Closure Schedule
Thursday:
  • Founders Square Parking Lot (near CBBC Bank) all day
  • W. Broadway Avenue from Cates Street to Cusick Street beginning at 7 p.m.
Friday:
  • Municipal Garage Parking Lot (near Blue Tick Tavern) all day
    Beginning at 10 a.m.
  • W. Broadway Avenue from Cates Street to Patton Avenue 
  • Cusick Street from Church Avenue to Harper Avenue
  • Court Street from Broadway Avenue to Harper Avenue
  • College Street from Broadway Avenue to Harper Avenue

Saturday Reopening Times
  • Cusick Street, Court Street, College Street and Founders Square Parking will reopen at 5 p.m.
  • The Municipal Parking Lot will reopen at 7 p.m.
  • W. Broadway Ave from Cates Street to Cusick Street will reopen as soon as possible after street is cleared (approximately 8 p.m.)

Thursday, June 21
• Founders Square Parking Lot will be close midnight Wednesday/12:01am Thursday
- Public Parking lot next to the Blount County Courthouse will close at 5pm on Thursday. (updated)
• The top level deck of the municipal parking garage will close at midnight Thursday/ 12:01am Friday.
Friday, June 22
• Broadway between Cates Street and Patton Street will be closed at 10am
• Cusick Street between Church Ave and Harper Ave will be closed at 3pm
• Cusick Street between Church Ave and Court Circle will be closed at 3pm
• Court Street between Broadway Ave and Harper Ave will be closed at 3pm
• College Street between Broadway and Harper will be closed at 3pm
