The entire municipal parking garage at 200 W. Harper Avenue will be closed for pressure washing from Thursday evening, September 2 through Saturday, September 4. Cars must be removed from the garage before the work begins. This garage is near the intersection of Cates Street and West Harper.

To accommodate the Downtown Maryville Association’s Music and Market event on Friday, August 27, Broadway Avenue from Cates Street to Norwood Street will be closed from 5 until 9 p.m. Detours will be in place. The top level of the municipal parking lot at Broadway and Cusick will also be closed. Parking is available in the area off Harper Avenue and Church Street. City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works will have the right northbound lane closed on S. Washington Street from Jones Avenue to High Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today for catch basin work. Drivers are urged allow extra time for delays and use caution in the area.
Engineering and Public Works will be replacing the crosswalks at Goddard Avenue on Montvale road today beginning at 8:30 a.m. Traffic will be slowed but no detours are necessary. Please allow extra time and use caution while driving in the area.
City of Maryville Water and Sewer will close County Farm Road (north of Alnwick Drive) again on Friday, August 13, while they continue to work on a sewer main repair. Crews will wait until the morning school traffic is completed, around 8:30 a.m. and the work will continue potentially into the evening.
Residents and local traffic may need to use Big Springs Road for an alternate route to their homes. Our water and sewer department personnel have been in contact with Central Office of Blount County Schools regarding bus traffic in the afternoon. City of Maryville Water & Sewer Dept. will have McCammon Ave. closed from Home Ave. to Rural King for most of the day today while crews work on a road crossing. Residents in the area and Maryville Housing Authority traffic will have access to their homes/destination by entering McCammon from the W. Bessemer Street area near Rural King.
UPDATE: Water Main Extension work on Lambert Lane has been rescheduled for next week. City of Maryville Water and Sewer Dept. will close Lambert Lane between Larry Road and Lisa Drive starting today August 10, 2021. This section of Lambert Lane will remain closed until approximately 5 p.m. Friday, August 13, while crews work on a water main extension. Residents will have access to their homes. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area.
Contractors for the city of Maryville will be pressure washing the municipal parking garage on W. Church Avenue on August 13 and 14. This will require closing the interior two levels of the garage on Thursday evening, August 12. Cars must be removed from the garage before the work begins. The top level of the parking garage will remain open.

City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will have both left turn lanes on Middlesettlements Road at Atchley Lane/Robert C. Jackson Drive closed tomorrow, August 5, 2021. Motorists will still be able to access Robert C. Jackson from Middlesettlements Road by turning left from the through lane (see the map above for clarity). This will be in effect at 7 a.m. and run through approximately 12 noon. Crews will be working on a water main tie-in for the TDOT improvements to Robert C. Jackson Drive.

City of Maryville Utility Plant Mechanics repair and maintain machinery and equipment in the Water Filtration Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, and stations throughout the system. Utility Plant Mechanics work four (4) ten- hour shifts and rotate on-call status on weekends.
