Lane Closure on Hwy. 321 Planned for Friday Morning, September 1, 2023

The City of Maryville Engineering & Public Works department will close the right lane of eastbound U.S. 321 (W. Lamar Alexander Parkway) on Friday, September 1, to perform tree removal and tree trimming near the intersection of William Blount Drive. The lane closure is expected to be in place by 8:30 a.m. with normal traffic flow being restored before noon. Holiday weekend traffic should not be affected by this lane closure.

Wales Ave. will be Closed Today for Sewer Construction - August 23, 2023

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Wales Avenue from S. Everett High Road to S. 4th Street today, Wednesday, August 23, 2023. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until approximately 6:30 p.m. while crews work on sewer construction.

High Street will be Closed Until 1 p.m. Today, August 22, 2023

The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works - Streets Department will close High Street from Court Street to College Street today, August 22, while crews are working to patch the asphalt. The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m.

Lanes on Lamar Alexander Parkway will be closed on Saturday and Monday

On Tuesday, the City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department investigated an issue with the sewer main at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 321 (Lamar Alexander Parkway) and Court Street. Following the inspection, engineers decided a section of the sewer line directly under the intersection needs repair.

To complete this work, both inside lanes of traffic in the east and westbound directions will need to be closed, including the left turn lanes. The work will begin on Saturday, August 19, at 7 a.m. and will continue until finished (approximately 7 – 8 p.m.). During this time, a right turn will be the only option for drivers on Court Street at Lamar Alexander Parkway.

On Monday, August 21, the lane closures will be in effect again from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Crews will be replacing the temporary patch put into place at the end of the day on Saturday, with a permanent asphalt patch on Monday.

The City strongly encourages alternate routes, and if that is not possible, we ask that drivers slow down and use extreme caution while passing through the closure. Our employees will be present.

A Section of Jett Road will be Closed Today, August 16, 2023

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Jett Road from S. Everett High Road to S. 4th Street today, Wednesday, August 16, 2023. The road will be closed from 8 a.m. until approximately 6:30 p.m. while crews work on sewer construction.

A Section of Kittrell Ave. will be Closed Tomorrow, August 16, 2023

The City of Maryville Stormwater Department will close Kittrell Avenue from S. Everett High Road to Martin Street on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. This closure will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will end at approximately 5 p.m. Crews will be installing a new culvert.

Watch for a Lane Closure on W. Lamar Alexander Parkway this Morning from 8:30 - 11 a.m.

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close the right, eastbound lane of Hwy. 321 (W. Lamar Alexander Parkway), from Montvale Road to Court Street today, Tuesday, August 15, 2023. The lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m. while crews open a manhole to investigate possible damage to a sewer pipe.

Drivers are asked to slow down and use extreme caution in the area as workers will be present.

A Section of Amerine Road will be Closed Today, August 15, 2023

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Amerine Road from Browns Court to Fielding Drive today, Tuesday, August 15, 2023. The road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. while crews are working on a water tap.

A Section of Melvin Avenue will be Closed Today for Sewer Construction

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close Melvin Avenue from Willard Street to S. Maple Street today, Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. while crews are working on sewer construction.

Public Input Requested for Downtown Master Plan Design Kick-off

The City of Maryville has hired a consultant team to develop a master plan for the city’s downtown. This plan will study the existing conditions downtown and collect community input and feedback. It will also provide recommendations for land use, zoning, transportation, design, policy, and economic development. The community is invited to attend a public meeting to learn about the project, meet the consultant team and hear about the existing conditions analysis. Citizens will have the opportunity to share ideas on planning topics related to downtown such as, future development, streetscapes, public spaces, and public art. The presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Gary Hensley Meeting Room at the Maryville Municipal Center, 400 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN 37801.
