The City of Maryville is Hiring a Grounds Maintenance Worker

A Grounds Maintenance Worker performs semiskilled work mowing, seeding, planting, pruning, trimming, spraying and fertilizing grass, trees, shrubs, bushes, hedges and flowers, performing a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance activities, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader.

Several Parking Spaces on S. Cusick Street will be Closed Next Week

The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department reports that improvements to Jack Greene Park are progressing as planned.

Starting Monday, July 24, 2023, contractors will be painting the roof of the public restrooms. On Sunday evening, several parking spaces near the intersection of S. Cusick Street and Court Circle, directly behind the building, will be blocked off to prevent overspray from damaging vehicles. These parking spaces will remain closed until late afternoon on Thursday, July 27.

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department will close S. Everett High Road from Morningside Avenue to Kittrell Avenue today, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 8 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. Crews will be working on sewer construction.

The City of Maryville Electric Department will close Best Street from Old Niles Ferry Road to Anderson Avenue today, July 18, from 8 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. Crews will be replacing a pole.

The City of Maryville Water and Sewer Department is currently working to repair some sinkholes that developed last week during a water main break on High Street. The road will be closed from Court Street to College Street today, Monday, July 10 until approximately 4:30 p.m.
