Great news! Engineering and Public Works has finished installing the storm drains on Hilltop Drive. The road is open and will not require closing on Monday or Tuesday next week!
UPDATE 6/8/22
Progress on the Hilltop Drive storm drain installation has been slowed by the rain this week. Engineering and Public Works will need to keep a section of Hilltop Drive closed through Friday, June 10. The road will be re-opened for the weekend but closed again on Monday and Tuesday, June 13 and 14. Work is expected to be completed by Tuesday evening, however, progress is dependent on the weather.
Beginning Monday, June 6 at 9 a.m. the city of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department will have a section of Hilltop Drive between Cherry Drive and Elm Drive closed to through traffic. Crews will be working with Atmos Energy to locate gas lines before they begin installing new storm drains. This section of Hilltop Drive will remain closed until approximately 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 9. Residents will have access to their homes during this closure. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution in the area as workers will be present.
