Working in conjunction with the TDOT safety improvement project at Brown School Road, the Maryville Water and Sewer department will be relocating a sewer line in the area of Brown School Road to Hardee's Restaurant. A lane shift will be required in this area starting Friday, August 17 and the following Monday, August 20 - Friday, August 24. This will be a congested area.
The TDOT project will continue through the end of the year and will have Brown School Road closed from Old Knoxville Pike to East Broadway Avenue. The project was funded by TDOT to improve safety at the intersection and includes widening Broadway and installing a traffic signal.
