The sidewalk widening project on South Cedar Street has been underway since late November. The contractor has run into complications throughout the project with underground utilities. Maryville engineers have decided more space is needed to safely work on the project. Effective immediately, South Cedar Street will be closed between Willow Drive and Mountain View Avenue until January 11.
Detours will be posted around the work zone.
Northbound traffic (from Maryville Junior High to Maryville High) will be detoured along Melrose.
Southbound traffic (from Maryville High to Maryville Junior High) will be detoured along Cunningham/ Willow.
