UPDATE: Due to the predicted winter weather this weekend, the 33rd Ijams River Rescue has been postponed until next Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The 33rd Ijams River Rescue, presented by TVA, is coming to Maryville on Saturday March 12! For the past 32 years, this one-day cleanup has brought together 400-1,000 volunteers to remove between 10-40 tons of trash from the Tennessee River’s shorelines and its tributary creeks. Volunteers will be working in Bicentennial Park, (Brown and Pistol Creeks), Sandy Springs Park, (Pistol Creek), and Pearson Springs Park, (Pistol Creek), from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. this Saturday.
